Chandler is the former bandleader of the popular regionally based quintet Urban Transport. He is a member of the Roy Hargrove Big Band and is a featured soloist on Hargrove’s first big band CD\, Emergence. He is also featured on an October 2011 CD release by the well-known James Carter. This monthly series\, curated by UM Associate Professor Adam Unsworth\, presents outstanding local artists in an intimate setting.
