In association with the exhibition Multiple Impressions: Contemporary Chinese Woodblock Prints the SMTD@UMMA series is pleased to present an evening of chamber music that explores the wide variety and long history of musical sounds made by wooden instruments. Performed by students and faculty on violins, cellos, guitars, marimbas and woodblocks, recorders, clarinets, and bassoons, wood will thud, ring, and hoot.
