Wood Cuts

In association with the exhibition Multiple Impressions: Contemporary Chinese Woodblock Prints the SMTD@UMMA series is pleased to present an evening of chamber music that explores the wide variety and long history of musical sounds made by wooden instruments. Performed by students and faculty on violins, cellos, guitars, marimbas and woodblocks, recorders, clarinets, and bassoons, wood will thud, ring, and hoot.

The SMTD@UMMA concert series is made possible in part by the Katherine Tuck Enrichment Fund.

It is made possible in part by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Henry Luce Foundation, the E. Rhodes and Leona B.
