Based on South Asian director Shamim Sarif’s autobiographical novel, the film tells the story of two women based in London. Tala, a Christian Jordanian of Palestinian descent is in the midst of planning her wedding and Leyla is a shy Mulsim who is dating Leyla's best friend, Ali. Brought together by chance, Tala and Leyla fall in love, turning their worlds upside down.
